Orcas Island Sea Glass was founded in 2008 by Erica Lyons on Orcas Island, WA. Located in the San Juan Islands archipelago in Washington State, Orcas Island is a magical island with many beautiful and often secluded beaches. It was on those shores that Erica fell in love with sea glass at a very young age.

Over the years, the collection slowly grew. One day, Erica was inspired by a single piece to begin creating. And she never stopped.

Now, Orcas Island Sea Glass is proud to to be on display at a few local gift shops, some gift shops far away, every Saturday in the summer seasons at the Orcas Island Farmers Market, and also at the official home base: Orcas Arts & Gifts at 245 Main Street in the heart of Eastsound on Orcas Island. Erica also travels across the country to participate in Sea Glass Festivals a few times a year, as well.

Here at Orcas Island Sea Glass, we work very hard to personally source and select the accompanying precious and semiprecious gemstones, mineral and fossil specimens, and pearls that we use to compliment the sea glass. We also use the finest Argentium Sterling Silver, 14K Gold, and 14/20 Gold Filled metals in our work.

WHAT IS SEA GLASS?

Sea Glass is found on the shores of large bodies of water. Once mankind's trash, it has been tumbled by wave action into beautifully frosty, smoothed treasures of the sea. A single piece can take anywhere from 40-100 years to attain its shaped appearance! A slowly disappearing treasure, Sea Glass is becoming increasingly harder to find. Almost all of our sea glass comes from the San Juan Islands, WA, but we also have select pieces from other parts of the world including: England, California, New York, Italy, Spain, Russia, Japan, the Canary Islands, South America, Canada, Iceland, Greece, Australia, and beyond.
